Jakers Leadership Team

President/Owner

Jake Jones

While attending the University of Idaho, Jake Jones got a job at the Gamma Phi Beta sorority house as an assistant to the cook. At that time “Willie”, a retired female chef, was the best cook on campus and she taught Jake the finer things of great food.

After transferring to Idaho State University Jake was employed by the university food service while completing a degree in Business Management.

Upon graduation, he managed several college food services and worked for a regional buffet chain before opening his first restaurant in Pocatello, Idaho in 1975.

Jake is also the area Franchise Developer for Red Robin in Montana, and operates Red Robin restaurants in both Billings and Missoula Montana.

Jake and his wife Grace reside in Sun Valley and Meridian, Idaho.

CEO

Luke Hadley

In 2001 my Jakers career started at our Twin Falls location. My goal was to be the lead cook as soon as I could. I studied recipes and procedures daily, becoming as knowledgeable as I could. Worked my way to become the lead cook and later an Assistant Manager.

In 2010 an opportunity to relocate to our Meridian location arose and I took that quest to become Kitchen Manager and later General Manager. While living in the Boise area I enjoy Boise State football games, fishing, concerts, and a wide variety of restaurants.

In 2017 my dedication to recipe compliance and Jakers food I started a new position as the Regional Kitchen Supervisor. I traveled to all our locations watching health & safety practices, recipe compliance, kitchen training programs, food cost and other systems.

In 2024 I am still pursuing new opportunities for myself and our team members to make Jakers a great company to work for. Following Jake’s guidance to remember the golden rule and to lead with kindness, my dreams became reality when a promotion to CEO was presented. Embracing the future to exceed our commitment to guest service and food. All while remembering our brand promise “Memorable dining experiences served by an obviously friendly team in a clean professional restaurant.”

I started working at Jakers Bar and Grill in 2003 and it has been an
incredible journey filled with growth, dedication, and a passion for
hospitality. Over two decades, I’ve experienced firsthand how the
restaurant evolved and adapted to the changing industry while staying
committed to delivering excellent food and exceptional service. My
role has encompassed a variety of responsibilities, from serving and
bartending to eventually taking on leadership positions, where I could
mentor new team members and ensure smooth daily operations.

The most rewarding part of my time at Jakers has been building
long-lasting relationships with both regular guests and colleagues.
I’ve also had the privilege of being a part of countless celebrations
and milestones in the lives of our guests, making every shift a
memorable experience. Through teamwork, perseverance, and a deep
commitment to guest satisfaction, I’ve contributed to maintaining
Jakers’ reputation as a beloved community dining spot.

Growing up in Montana I have grown to love many outdoor activities such as hiking, snowboarding, hunting and fishing.  I enjoy doing these activities with my family and also love traveling with my husband,Tony. He and I also have a small hobby farm where we raise various different animals.

I look forward to our future here at Jakers Bar and Grill!

Supervisor

Malcom Gray

I was born in Anchorage, Alaska, and raised in Pensacola, Florida, where my love for the outdoors and diverse foods began. My passion for the restaurant industry grew while working at my grandparents’ and parents’ restaurants, starting as a dishwasher, and eventually learning to cook and manage.

When my family moved to Texas, my dad and I opened a small restaurant, where I honed my skills and learned the ins and outs of running a business. Later, I moved to Pocatello, ID, and joined Jakers as a salad cook. Through hard work and dedication, I became an Assistant Manager and then the Assistant General Manager in Meridian. After two years, I was thrilled to accept the General Manager position. I am now one of our Regional Supervisors. I couldn’t be happier! I love working alongside our team across Idaho as well as interacting and serving all of you who make this dream possible.

I love making people happy and creating a great environment for our team and guests at Jakers. I will continue to work each day to provide an amazing dining experience for everyone who visits us.
