I began my career at Jakers Bar and Grill in Pocatello as a host when I was 16 years old. Aside from a short stint in serving, my path at Jakers consisted mostly of cooking, bookkeeping and managing, until I was promoted to Assistant General Manager. I later segued into the role of Kitchen Manager, a period of time that was very rewarding and during which I learned a great deal.
I was ultimately promoted to General Manager in Pocatello, and shortly thereafter I was transferred to General Manager here in Twin Falls. It was a move that I have been very happy with, as I truly enjoy the people here, both coworkers and clientele.
I plan to give my best to this restaurant and community, and I will keep my goals set on ensuring the best possible experience for our guests. I have thoroughly enjoyed my career at Jakers, and am looking forward to the years to come.
We’re incredibly honored to have received numerous accolades from the Idaho State Journal’s Reader’s Choice Awards, including Best Steakhouse, Best Burger, Best Gluten-Free Meal, and Friendliest Wait Staff! Pocatello holds a special place in our hearts as the ‘homecoming’ location, given its significance as the birthplace of Jake’s.
Our community’s excitement for our grand opening was palpable, especially with Jake himself participating. Having lived and studied in Pocatello, Jake is a beloved figure here. Many of our first guests were patrons of the original Jake’s, and some had even worked for him at his first restaurant, making our opening a true homecoming celebration.
We proudly opened our doors on April 20th, 2017, choosing this location due to its deep connection with our brand—it’s where the very first Jake’s began. As the newest Jakers location, we had the unique advantage of learning from the experienced employees, managers, and owners who graciously supported us from day one. Their guidance introduced us to the inclusive, friendly culture that defines Jakers.
